Beyond belief

An unbelievable story from Texas.

I've been trying to imagine someone lifting up a two-month-old baby, resting her inside a microwave, shutting the door and setting the timer for 20 seconds. Do you do something like that in a daze? Are you aware as you close your daughter inside a microwave? Are you feeling anything? It's unfathomable.

I've got to say, the "Satan told me to do it" line is overused these days.

Weirdos from Texas, one might say! Just NEVER check my passport(s) and we can still be friends :-)

Ha ha!! I think those years in France somehow managed to deTex you.

My last Birthday BBQ, you brought that amazing chocolate cake (all hail French grandmothers) - now, a true Texan would have brought a pile of mesquite steaks that she'd smoked herself.

You never know, the Texan may resurface during a mid-life crisis/prolonged period of stress. Imagine if it happened before your PhD viva...

Nightmarish situation... Hey, what would be really funny is if I instead started speaking with a real French accent, à la René. I'd actually pay good money to see that!!

Too funny! The viva committee wouldn't believe a word you were saying. Although you'd have great grounds for appeal...
