I understand that Autumn is arriving elsewhere, but just to explain (and I only say this because someone asked if I had a fire lit) it's still 29 degrees here. My candles melt out on the terrace!'Winter' is when I get to wear jeans and maybe two layers. It doesn't apply to Madeiran woman, who will be in proper winter clothes during winter. You can spot them easily in the summer because in the most debilitating sweltering heat they can wear skin-tight jeans and four-inch heels (in some bright colour which co-ordinates with their top).
I'll never be one of them...
