Perfect evening for pizza and red wine.
I might try the Dom Carlo tonight.
They'd need to hold the mushrooms though; they have a tendency to make the dough go grey.
And that would be yukky.
Later: a close up of the special ingredient. This is probably way too normal for a Royston Vasey pizza...

Wait a second there...does it really say "sweet mice" under that Dom Carlo? Now I'm not complaining, I really would try anything once...but sweet mice? SWEET mice?
Still...sweet mice...hmmm...maybe they'll have them at the gourmet store, in a little pink jar with ears on...yummy...
It really does say 'sweet mice' - I'll add in a close up photo.
I suspect they mean 'sweet corn', because 'Milho Doce' is written above it.
Having their ears on is a lovely touch. They're probably stored close to cherries in brandy. Bet you can get savoury ones too: little micey bhajis and samosas...
Hmmm, back in school days, one could buy chocolate covered toffee mice from our school tuck shop but naive as I was then, I thought they were toffee. All is now revealed.
Good way to get through a maths class - not so sure they would be good on a pizza.

That is totally me and mushrooms on pizza. Grey dough is never a good thing.
I remember my sister was in hospital when we were kids, and I spent all my pocket money buying her a hundred white mice.
Because extreme sugar-and-toxin rush is soooo good for asthmatics.
Yeah they meant sweetcorn instead of sweet mice. I live in Madeira btw.
Welcome!
I still like the idea of little mice pickled in strange spices or bobbing in a jar of cherry brandy. More atmospheric than sweetcorn :)
